Share Your Favorite Games with Your Friends

Favorite Games provides Facebook users the opportunity to share their favorite video games with their friends. In addition to tracking what games a user is playing, finished playing, or wants to play, Favorite Games allows users to read and write reviews, rate games, and watch trailers and game-play videos for a game.
Getting started with Favorite Games is easy. After adding the application to your profile, simply click the “Add Games” button at the top of the page. Here you can search for games you want to display on your profile by typing all or part of the game’s title into the search box and pressing the enter key. Once the results are displayed below, clicking the “Add to My Games” link will provide a pop-up dialog asking whether you’re currently playing the game, have already played it, or want to play it in the future. Included in the window is an option where you can list the game as one of your favorites.
If you’re having trouble remembering the names of any games you’ve played, simply load the Favorite Games homepage. The “Instant Reviews” feature located on the homepage lists a random game that you can review or skip over. Clicking the game will allow you to add it to your “My Games” page to show off to your friends.
Alternatively, you can head to the “My Friends’ Games” page to see what your friends are playing. A brief list of games listing those most played by your friends will be displayed here. You can also click on an individual friend to see the details about their games and favorites.
The game details page serves as a place to watch media, including trailers and game-play videos, to read recent reviews by friends and other miscellaneous users, and to rate and review games. Clicking on the game title or product image takes the user to the product page on Amazon.com for those who are interested in making a purchase or finding additional information on a game. To view an example of the game details page, take a look at Halo 3 or Super Mario Galaxy.
Finding yourself with extra cash but unsure what to buy? Head to the “Popular Games” page to see what’s hot in the gaming world. This page displays the top 10 highest-rated games, the top 10 most-favorited games, and the top 10 most played, which includes games currently being played and those that were played in the past. If you recognize a game you forgot to add to your own list of games, you can do it from this page as well by clicking any of the links located beside each game.
Overall, Favorite Games is a well-polished Facebook application that offers both fun and functionality. Enjoy adding and reviewing games while discovering how best to spend that extra cash you have lying around.
