Facebook Unveils New Developer Forum

As of today, the old developer discussion board built into the Facebook website has been deprecated, replaced by the new version at forum.developers.facebook.com. The change introduces a more familiar forum style, whereby there are multiple categories available for posting topics.
Forum topics cover basic questions, technical aspects (API, FBML, FBJS, FQL), business aspects (hosting, advertising, jobs, marketplace), and feedback.
One feature missing from the new forum is a means by which to link forum accounts to Facebook profiles. However, whereas the now-deprecated forum could only be access by Facebook users who added the Developer application to their profile, this missing link allows the forum to be publicly listed and accessible by all potential developers.

Interesting final point- you think this will show up on Google? It’d be a good idea, but my guess it’s too off-the-cuff for that kind of move.
Bloggers and webmasters alike have already been linking to the Facebook-embedded forum topics in the past. With the assumption that they will continue to do the same for interesting and informative threads on the new forum, I expect with some certainty that popular threads will soon be found in search engine results. But as with all things, only time will tell.
